OM SRI SAI RAM

"Hands that Serve are Holier than lips that pray '"-Baba

Swagatham sai

‘Be Thou My Instrument’ is Bhagawan Sri Satya Sai Baba’s divine call. His mission glorifies the value of Service to the society. ‘Manava Seva is Madhava Seva’, says Bhagawan, while exhorting us to rise in action to serve our fellow beings.

Swagatham Charities, a charitable trust, was founded in 1999, with precisely this end in view. This trust is a small instrument in the hands of our Lord Sai through which service and spiritual activities are carried out. Annadanam (Feeding the poor) has been a regular feature since 1995. Bal vikas classes and Bhajans have also been continuously done on a weekly basis. In 2005, the trust constructed Swagatham Sai Mandir – a temple for Bhagawan Shirdi Sai Baba. Subsequently, temple for Lord Ganapathi and Goddess Mahalakshmi, Dhuni and Navagraha Sannidhi were added.  Swagatham Sai Mandir has the distinction of being blessed to house the first shrine in the world for our beloved Bhagawan Sri Satya Sai Baba Varu. This temple was constructed and consecrated in September 2011. The vast area forming a part of the Mandir premises has been used for performing various homams for Loka Kshema, during Bhagawan Baba’s birthday celebrations.  For the last few years, Annadanam has been performed in the Mandir premises, wherein people residing in the village close by, partake of the food offered.  Study materials, like books and stationery items, are also distributed to children residing in this area.

Bhagawan Sri Satya Sai Baba Varu's first Maha Samadhi Day

24th April 2012 (Tuesday) saw a year being wrapped up after Bhagawan Sri Satya Sai Baba shed His physical form. To commemorate this, Swagatham Charities organized a series of activities – charitable and spiritual. The day dawned with the performance of the sacred Ganapathi Homam at the Swagatham Sai Mandir, paying obeisance to Lord Ganapathi - the remover of obstacles.  This was followed by the chanting of the Sri Satya Sai Sahasranamam – an offering of a garland of the 1008 names of our Beloved Bhagawan.
